We need a minimum of four people to enrol in this class for it to run. Can you please rsvp this week if you plan to attend, and make sure that enrolment fees are paid by this weekend so that we have time to purchase supplies and you have time to purchase your fabric. This workshop is open to both men and women who have sewing experience, a working sewing machine and time to get the project finished. Participants are welcome to sew the project by hand as was done historically, but may have to finish it in their own time.
Enrolment fees are to be paid online at http://www.

Hi Aylwen, can you tell me what the largest size is for the tailcoat pattern?? The man of the house cuts a fine figure, and dressing him can be a challenge.
It says M, L & XL. I'll contact them for proper sizings and get back to you.
thanks so much :> I need it to fit a 54 inch chest...
The X-Large is meant to fit a 48" - 50" chest. I have another pattern that I've adapted that is for a 46” - 52” chest, it usually runs larger.
Yardages:
For Outer Shell:
60" fabric: 2.5 to 2.75 yd
45" fabric: 3.25 to 3.5 yd.
Extra is needed for fabric with a nap or one-way design.
Lining:
60": 2.5 to 2.75 yd
45": 3.25 to 3.5 yd
allow extra for shrinkage and nap.
Pockets
1/4 yd canvas or heavy cotton
Hello! I really like your blog, many interesting ideas. How did the class go? Hopefully enough people enrolled for it?
Thank you.
