JANE AUSTEN FESTIVAL AUSTRALIA
12-14 April 2019

Jane Austen Festival Australia is an annual celebration in Canberra where Austen and Napoleonic fans from all over Australia come and indulge themselves in everything Regency - including dancing, music, food, games, archery, fencing, theatre, promenades, grand balls, talks, workshops, costumes and books. This festival is now a regular part of the ACT Heritage Festival, Australian Heritage Week and is supported by the ACT Government, the Australian Costumers Guild and the Earthly Delights Historic Dance Academy. Since its inception in 2008 this little festival has blossomed into one of the most delightful four days anyone could experience each April in an old and beautiful part of Canberra, the Federal capital of Australia.

Volunteers needed for the 2010 Jane Austen Festival

This wonderful festival happens because of volunteers. In fact, there would be no festival without you. Imagine a check-in desk without anyone in attendance, rooms in disarray, nothing but mannequins in a state of undress in the Costume Exhibition, a Ball without decorations or chairs... it would be a sad, sad thing. Don't let it be this way! Please look through the schedule at http://www.janeaustenfestival.com.au , find where you can spare a moment, and email us to let us know you are interested in helping making this festival all it can be.

Ah, "But are you asking me to work for nothing," you say? Perish the thought. In return for your willingness to help, we promise to be well-stocked with chocolate and an assortment of sundries for the league of minions (oops! Was that out loud? I meant, "eager volunteers.")

But wait, there's more!!! There will also be Daily Prize Drawings, as well as a Grand Prize Drawing, the winner of which will receive a Complimentary Entry to the Jane Austen Festival 2011. (Winner is responsible for travel and accommodation fees). So come join us. You know you want to. Contact the Volunteer Coordinator at janeaustenfestival@gmail.c
om to sign up as soon as your schedule has been decided upon.
